10 ways to style up an outfit! (B)

They say that sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest differences. In the short article you are about to read, we have put together a list of 10 things you can do to make an outfit stand out or just better looking and more interesting. It’s not about standing out, it’s about not being boring. A plain outfit can go from 0 to 100 in a second if you do one of these things. Here are a few ways to make an outfit stand out:

1 Roll up your shirt’s cuffs over your sweater

This will create a lot of visual interest and will make your outfit stand out. Be sure that you first roll the sweater’s sleeves and just then you roll the shirt’s cuffs, though. It will make the folding a lot easier.

2 Wear a hat

We wrote in a previous article about how to choose the right hat. Wearing headgear is really a nice touch if done properly. For a normal suit, a fedora might go, especially if you are under 30 years of age.

3 Wear no-show socks

“No-show socks” are socks that look like you might not be wearing socks. This will really create visual interest, when people will look at you and think “he`s not wearing socks, wait…”.

4 Add a tie-clip

Tie clips are one of those accesories that are really great. First of all, they are timeless. Second of all, they still have a sensible use to them, they keep your tie from flying away in windy conditions

5 Get a haircut

Although it might seem weird, a haircut can influence the way an outfit looks on you. Just try it and you will see.

6 Wear a watch

Watches are always appropriate. Colored watches have become more fashionable among men. Also, watches in neutral colors will go with anything, if worn with clothes appropriate for the occasion you are dressing up for.

7 Wear a pocket-square

Yes, but how to match it? The answer is easy: match it with your shirt!

8 Get a funky pair of shoes

If you want to make an outfit stand out, get a pair of shoes that is either in an unusual color, or has interesting details to it.

9 Add an ascot-tie

Ascot-ties are just amazing.

10 And one for the pros…

Sir Edwin Hardy Amies, a British fashion designer said: “To achieve the nonchalance which is absolutely necessary for a man, one article at least must not match.” And it`s true!

Now you know, so go on and try one or two tricks! You will like them, and continue to put them in practice.
