The People of the 2018 Snow Polo World Cup in St. Moritz

The 2018 edition of the Snow Polo World Cup took place between 26-28 January in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The event featured not only a tournament of great games, which was in the end won by team Cartier, but also a series of parties and social events which were attended by people from all over the world who came to the small Swiss tourist town to enjoy the polo games commented by Jan-Erik “The Voice of Polo” Franck, but to also take pleasure the great weather and the beautiful scenery.

The social events held during the Snow Polo World Cup took place at St. Moritz’s hotspots: the Kulm, Steffani, Badrutt’s Palace and even the Maserati Showroom. Besides this, the frozen lake of St. Moritz, which is where the games were held, was also a great social scene where people got to mingle, eat, dance and laugh. After the games, when the awards were handed, many fans of snow polo even got to meet with their favorite sportsmen and sportswomen, as great players like Rommy Gianni, Robert Strom, Melissa Ganzi and Tito Gaudenzi were present at the games.

While the matches were enjoyed by several thousand people who came to St. Moritz to see the games, the parties were mostly exclusive events attended only by the glamoratti visitors who showcased stunning fashions as they enjoyed their cocktails or champagne.
