Hello!
Do you have the right things in the right way in your wardrobe? We might have the answers. First of all, when you check your wardrobe, you should see whether your have clothes for all types of occasions: casual wear, formal suits, etc. There are many men out there who have too much of something and too little of the other. And it`s not just the clothes. Your shoes must also match the things you wear. Casual wear goes with casual shoes, not evening shoes. A big focus should also be on the accessories you wear. You don`t want to wear a sports watch to a formal suit, a bow-tie to a t-shirt (unless you`re in a Lacoste commercial).
What your wardrobe needs to be is functional and versatile, which means that you need to have clothes that you can make outfits with. There is no point in having 10 times the same shirt (maybe in different colors) if you don’t have anything to match it with. Having a great bow tie is useless if you don’t have the suit for it! What’s also important is to be able to dress your outfits up or down. A casual outfit can be dressed up if you have nice blazer and a formal outfit can be dressed down if you take the tie down, for example. You can learn how to dress up an outfit from our website!
What we also look for in a wardrobe is that the clothes fit and have the right cut and shape. An item that does not match your body frame is useless. You can’t have one or two items that fit and the rest that doesn’t!
Many people wonder whether their wardrobe is any good! We`re sure it is, and you can put it to the test! After you checked the list of things we told you so far, you can check whether your clothes are the right shape, color and size. Here are some rules:
- Your pants need to be on your natural waist!
- Pants, without shoes, need to almost touch the ground
- On the low part, one pleat is indicated, if you have more or less, you will look like you are either drowning in your clothes, or like a school boy in the 5th grade!
- Shoes always need to be polished (in case it was not obvious)!
- Shoes shouldn’t be too different from your pants, in terms of color!
- Your shoes need to match your belt (not necessarily a perfect match)
- Your ties should reach your belt!
- Suits, and clothes in general are not ought to be of polyester.
