Even if we realize this or not, pajamas are a big deal. Have you ever thought about it? Given the fact that most adults sleep about 6 hours every day, the clothes we wear during this time are very important and can have an impact on our lives and the quality of sleep we get. When you go to sleep, try to avoid being distracted by noises, too much bright light, or other factors such as a big clock next to your bed that you check every minute or so. Sleeping should be done in sleeping conditions. Try not to sleep where you work or do other activities, such as working on the computer.
Today we showcase some of our favorite pajamas and robes. Did you know that there are designer pajamas? The original pāijāma are loose, lightweight trousers fitted with drawstring waistbands and worn in South and West Asia by both sexes. The word was incorporated into English during the British raj (1858 – 1947).
Nowadays PJs are worn throughout the world. Even though in the West people wear pajamas only when they sleep, in China, it is not unusual in the late afternoon or evening, for adults to wear their pajamas in public around their local neighborhood. Not everyone likes pajamas in public though. In January 2012, Michael Williams, a commissioner in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, proposed an ordinance prohibiting people from wearing pajamas in public. In 2011, a Vermont high school banned pajamas in public as they could be a sign of gang affiliation, provocative or a safety hazard.
Back to the fashion and style part of pajamas.
We recommend that whatever you choose to sleep in should me made completely out of natural fibers. This way, the fabric will allow your skin to breath and you will rest better and have more energy. Search pajamas made of cotton, silk or satin. Linen is also very comfortable.
Also, needless to say that it needs to be really comfortable, if it’s too tights it will block your blood circulation and your brain will not receive the right amount on oxygen resulting again in a bad rest.
Wearing a nice thing when you go to sleep can actually help you sleep better, as it will make you feel good and by extension, relaxed.
Here are some of our favorite robes, but also some designer sleepwear and pajamas.
Fraquoh and Franchomme P.S. What do you like to sleep in? What do you think of these pajamas? Do you have any tips to share? Share your ideas, thoughts and comments in the comments space below!
