The collections for the spring-summer season are in and we are interested to take a look at what’s new and trendy in the men’s fashion world.
This season, designgers tried to show their creativity by divulging their inspiration and creating clothes that many men might enjoy. The main pieces of the season are jackets and sweatshirts. But it’s not only clothes that are fashionable, it’s non-clothes as well. From watching the runway shows of several designers, we can tell you that bare ankles are next season’s big trend.
In terms of cut and colors, the men’s fashion world will be enjoying very colorful pieces, with historical, artistic or ethnic influences and really clearly defined cuts. No waves, undefined lines and other blurred elements are to be seen in most of the collections for the spring-summer 2014 season.
So, if you are a guy looking for inspiration, what should you look for? Well, as we said: it’s all about the color, the cut and the influence. The statement you want to make with your clothes will be given by the background the item has. You can be ethnic, classic or futuristic.
Dark florals, boxy t-shirts (many items have straight lines, composing incomplete or complete squares) and big suits are next spring’s big thing. Fashion designers found their inspiration in many fields, and expressed it not only through the main pieces of their creations, but also through the details, such as fancy neckwear and elegant buttons.
Have a look at some of the looks we collected from the recent runway shows.

From cut to structure, take a peek at the SS/14 looks from Balmain, Carven and more.
I am digging the MAN collection and never coming out of it. Though the trend I liked a lot from the runway was the use of digital prints. Seems interesting 😀
