One thing that many people struggle with is working out what to wear when they are heading out for the night. When it comes to making this sort of decision, it is important to think about where you are going and what the dress code is likely to be, as this will make your decision far easier. Also, you don’t want to be standing out like a sore thumb because of the way you are dressed so it is also worth considering what sort of attire others are likely to be wearing, as at least that way you know you’ll be on the right track when it comes to the style of your outfit. Your preferred way of dressing, however, can also give you an idea of where to head out. For example, if you like to dress up, a fancy restaurant or an opera are the places to go, while if you like to wear your shorts and polos in the evening too, you can go to an amusement park.
Do your research
If you pick your location first, you should do your research on a potential official or unofficial dress code that might be required where you are going. For instance, you are heading to a high class restaurant the last thing you want to do is turn up in a pair of jeans and trainers! For starters, you probably won’t get one foot through the door due to the dress code, and secondly even if you did you would feel somewhat uncomfortable with everyone around you dressed up to the nines. Doing your research and finding out what the dress code is before you go can save you a lot of hassle and embarrassment as well as reducing the risk of being turned away at the door. Many restaurants or cultural environments don’t have a written dress code, which is why you should check out their website and get their vibe before you get there. This way you will know what to expect.
Style, not fashion
If you have quite a varied wardrobe you should find that there is something that suits every occasion and venue. You don’t have to splash out on expensive clothing and designer labels – as long as the style of your outfit is suitable, that’s all that matters. For instance, if you are going clubbing you can experiment with some slim-fit trousers and a tailored shirt for a great smart, trendy look. On the other hand, if you prefer a night in the pub you can opt for something far more casual such as your jeans – you don’t want to turn up at a pub overdressed, but if you feel like adding a little swag, you could always team your jeans with a designer belt. If you are heading to the casino for the evening, you will find that the dress code can vary based on where you are going. The good thing about many casinos is that you can base your outfit on your mood, as you will often find that there are lots of people that dress up to go there and many others that opt for casual clothing.
Bring the party to your home
Of course, another option is to enjoy entertainment in your own home, which means that you don’t have to worry about dressing up for the occasion. You can simply slip into some comfortable lounge wear such as your favorite shorts, a pair of comfy jeans or even your pajamas, making for a far more relaxed and comfortable evening. You can enjoy all sorts of entertainment such as watching Netflix at home rather than heading to the cinema or playing exciting online games such as roulette at Springbok Casino rather than going to a bricks and mortar casino. Not only is this a great way to enjoy an evening of entertainment but it also saves you money, as you won’t have to pay for spending a night out on the town.
As you can see, going out can mean a lot of things. Once again, the way you dress and your lifestyle prove themselves to be connected. Moreover, they are a very clear reflection of your personality, tastes and lifestyle.

Yeah, I agree that if you know the dress code for the night it will make it easier to dress up if you going from office. Especially if it far from home to change. My male friend will take few clothes and kept in his car for a week just in case he got impromptu plan.
Dear N’war,

I love Arthur’s outfit – he’s such a great model – and great article too!
Thank you, HK! We think Arthur is a great model too!
Well, i was out last night and menswear wise, what did stand out for me were these bright pair of trainers and jeans a guy was wearing, there are so many things I like to see on a guy at night, but last night reaffirmed that i like to see a confident burst of colour in an outfit…
We always love to see a pop of color too 🙂 !
Style, not fashion – well said, gentlemen!
Thank you, Kris!
