All Around Vienna Fashion Week 2015

Every Fashion Week is an event that, besides the many fashion shows which represent its core, features a number of other elements and events that bring fashionistos and fashionistas together.

In our coverage of this year’s MuseumsQuartier Vienna Fashion Week, we focused on commenting on the looks that were presented in the over 60 shows by Austrian and International designers and we also presented some of the more interesting highlights of the week; but we also want to talk a little about the adjacent elements of the Fashion Week.

Before the Fashion Week opened the 7th, on the 4th of September there was an opening party held at the Neni restaurant in the Naschmarkt area of Vienna, where anyone who wanted to get in the spirit of VFW was welcomed. It was like the stores who get ready for Christmas from November so you can get in the festive spirit by the time Christmas arrives. The party gathered many people who talked, danced a little and listened to the DJ’s mixes and tracks. As the party went on in the open air and inside the restaurant, a talented hair stylist offered haircuts to those who wanted to style themselves up a bit, just in time for fashion week. Daniel Prinz works in a salon located near the Naschmarkt, and, if you find yourself in Vienna and want to get a haircut or just a great new look based on your current haircut, you should definitely pay him a visit.

While the haircuts went on for many hours uninterrupted, at one point, the party itself turned into a fashion show, where urban styles and sneakers were presented.

A few days after that, when the Fashion Week officially started, on the third day of the MQVFW, in the area called Quartier21, which is located right next to where the fashion-tent was built, a showroom was opened where many brands displayed and sold their clothes and accessories. In fact, many of the designers who presented their new collections during VFW put their clothes on sale right after the show, so people can buy them right off the runway. Talk about fresh clothes!

In the gallery below, we have put together a series of photos from the 7th installment of MuseumsQuartier Vienna Fashion Week that will give you a 360 degrees view of the event. Take a look and flip through the gallery!
