The 2016 Creative Arts Emmys in Menswear

The 67th edition of the Annual Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place on September 11 2016. The event gathered together many stars of the small screen to celebrate special achievements in television programs.

There was a lot of good and interesting menswear on the red carpet, so we put together a quick roundup of the most interesting look.

Discover our fashion edit below:

James Lipton

One of our favorite men on TV, James Lipton, wore a detail-oriented suit for the 2016 Creative Arts Emmys. The thin, shiny stripes of his tie completed the look and his bright blue pocket square broke the classic outfit. Now that’s good style, well done!

Evgeny Afineevsky

A blue jacket is always a great alternative to the classic dark suit. What we really enjoyed about film director Evgeny Afineevsky’s look is that he chose a blue jacket with accent black shawl lapels, which kept the look young and fresh, but styled it up quite a few notches.

Honest Trailers

The Honest Trailers guys looked their best at the Creative Arts Emmys 2016 dressed in sharp eveningwear. The reason why we like them as a style team is that they prove that any man will look good in a fine suit, regardless of his age, size or body type.

Sons of Serendip

The members of the Sons of Serendip band played with all the colors in the crayon box as they put their outfits together for the Creative Arts Emmys. We really loved the fact that each band member showcased his style by wearing a texture, a pattern or a color that spoke to him and that they all wore the same type of accessories (a bow tie and a lapel pin), but that each one did it in his own way.

RuPaul

The always fabulous RuPaul wore a gorgeous pink suit with while polka dots. This type of look is not uncommon Ru, but it is quite uncommon on a red carpet. In our opinion, it’s a great alternative to the classic red carpet attire and a very good outfit for the occasion.

Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson

Actor Bill Nye (left) wore a very naïve outfit that gave him a boyish flair. We really enjoyed the black and white play and thought it was fun and energetic. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson (right) wore a cool vest that let us know his job in a very youthful and fun way.

Josh Wingate

Actor Josh Wingate wore a gorgeous blue suit at the 2016 Creative Arts Emmys. We always say that blue is a great alternative to the classic black suit: you can wear it anywhere and it will make you look more youthful and dynamic. Q.E.D.

Travis Wall

Dancer Travis Wall not only wore a great evening suit, which we really liked, but also made a great point: A man should be able to make any moves in a suit. As a shopping tip, you should always remember that when you are trying on a suit, you should be able to make any kind of move. Including jumping and dancing.

Tim Gunn

To go full circle, we’re ending this roundup with another favorite of ours: Mr. Tim Gunn from Project Runway look dapper (as he always does) in an impeccable suit accessorized with a stunning pair of glasses. He is a permanent presence on our best dressed list, no doubt about it.

There you have it: The 2016 Creative Emmy Awards were a place where the stars showcased a great palette of looks. We were excited to see some color, texture, pattern and shine and are looking forward to seeing what our favorite celebs will wear next!

Fraquoh and Franchomme
