Miami is one of the world’s fun and sun capitals. Therefore, it comes only natural to look at the Floridian city for swimwear inspiration for the spring-summer 2017 season. After all, Florida is called The Sunshine State.
Take a look at our selection of men’s swimwear from Miami Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2017:
Maaji
The Maaji collection featured many classic cuts and botanical motifs in colors that contrasted easily, which made for a very optimistic show. Swimsuits that fall between long boardshorts and small speedos are perfect for almost any body type and can be enjoyed by most men.
Lila Nicole X Kruzin
High cuts seem to be gaining terrain in terms of men’s swimwear and underwear, as the Lila Nicole X Kruzin collection featured a series of classic speedos in bold prints. Speedos have the advantage that they offer great freedom of movement, so they should be considered by men who enjoy swimming and doing water stunts.
Kyboe
Some things such as the nautical aesthetic are timeless. A short in white and navy blue stripes is definitely an investment piece, as it won’t go out of style anytime soon. For those who rarely wear swimwear, getting a timeless piece should definitely be the way to go.
Hammock
Representational prints featuring flamingos or other tropical elements were some of the highlights of the Hammock Spring-Summer 2017 collection. We really enjoy the calming colors, which are perfect for lying in the sun at the beach or next to a pool. Well done!
MIU Swim Ahead Fashion
Going for interesting details such as diagonal accents and transparent areas, the MIU Swim Ahead Fashion collection featured bold items that were edgy and captivating. It’s really great to see a different spin being put on classic swimwear, as swimsuits are very constraining pieces to work with, so being able to pull off creative swimwear is definitely something worth seeing.
Art Hearts Fashion
Art Hearts Fashion presented a true fashion and art-inspired collection. With many types of cuts and beautiful prints, the label offered a fun take on the season. We especially loved the mix between busy prints and simpler parts, such as the waistbands featuring a text.
These days, swimsuits come in so many shapes and sizes that it is hard not to find something for your taste and preference. Whether it’s a print or a solid color, a speedo or a longer boardshort, we’re sure you’ve found just as much inspiration in these looks as we did and will make shopping choices that will reflect who you are.
