Alfonso Herrero is a Spanish influencer whose great looks and attitude have made him into a veritable internet star. He blogs all about clothes and styling, and sometimes inserts travel tips or other lifestyle recommendations.
He has recently reached 100 000 followers on his Instagram account, where he shares pictures of his clothes and day to day activities. Due to his strong following, he is definitely a man who is influencing Spanish (and, why not international) fashion and style, as many take close notes to what he wears and the way he does his hair and grooming.
In this InCompany by Attire Club interview, Alfonso shares his thoughts on clothes, fashion and
inspiration exclusively for our readers.
How did you discover you were interested in fashion?
Alfonso Herrero: The world of fashion has always interested me. I remember when I was little; I used to go with my mother to the tailor’s and collected scraps of fabrics to make my own small designs – at a scale.
It was about the time I became of age that I started to be more independent from an economical point of view that I began to be interested in clothes for myself, as now I was able to buy some of the things I liked.
How has your style evolved?
AH: Style is something that is innate in each person. I think style evolves as we mature and move along in our experiences. It is something we all need to respect. We also need to accept each
other’s styles, as style is something that makes us unique.
How would you describe your style as?
AH: Truly. My. Own.
Where do you look for inspiration?
AH: I often seek inspiration in cultures that I do not know. I really like combining fabrics and prints.
I am also inspired a lot by songs or historical characters and I try to combine both of these universes.
Which brands do you like to follow?
AH: Reclaimed Vintage is one of my favorite brands and the one I most identify with when it comes to dressing.
What are you currently obsessed with, fashion- and otherwise?
AH: Besides fashion, I love cinema and the theater; and of course, chocolate!
