How to Tie Your Scarf This Winter (B)

Scarves are the best thing to have in colder times but they also make the best fashion accessory if you know what to do with it! A well-tied scarf can make an outfit. If you are prepared to look great this winter and turn heads, read our short guide to basic scarf tying techniques! The three pictures illustrate the three explained knots, so you can use them too when you put this article into practice!

1. The Parisian knot

Also known as the European knot, this one is very easy to do and has a great visual impact! You need to fold the scarf exactly in half and put the folded scarf around the back of your neck with the created loop on one side of your shoulder. Then, you must pull the scarf ends through the created loop.  Afterwards, pull the scarf’s ends down, while pushing the loop up towards the neck to tighten. You can adjust until you feel comfortable!

2. The ascot knot

The ascot knot is really the “best-seller”. Here’s how you do it: Let the scarf lie on the back of your neck with the same length on both sides. Then, take one end of the scarf and cross over the other side. Thirdly, you should take the same end (the first one) and bring it up through the gap. Pull through until comfortable!

3 The fake knot

Here are the steps you need to take to tie a fake knot: First, tie a knot with one end of the scarf  it is your choice how high you tie this first knot. Then, you need to push the other end of the scarf through the knot that previously you made.  And thirdly, you can tighten the knot until you’re happy with it.

There you have it! Now you are all set and ready to go!
