A Look at the Men of 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards

The 21st edition of the Critics’ Choice Awards took place on January 17 2016 at the Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar in California. As usually, the event honored the best achievements in filmmaking for the previous year (2015). The show was hosted by actor T.J. Miller and was broadcast on A&E.

While the Critics’ Choice Awards are not as big as the Oscars, they are relevant and give insight into what film critics make of the most recent Hollywood productions.

The red carpet (or better said blue carpet) event that took place before the ceremony gathered actors, directors, producers and other industry insiders who took part in the show.

Let’s take a look at some of the men who attended the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards and who caught our eye with their looks:

Jason Statham

Jason Statham

Actor Jason Statham wore a very classic suit paired with a simple, but nevertheless elegant tie. Statham was not adventurous from a sartorial point of view, but his outfit is relevant, as it goes to show (again) that wearing a classic suit that fits well and that is paired with accessories that are proportionate to your body size is a timeless look that can go anywhere and anytime. If you ever find yourself not knowing how dressy or casual an event is, a safe bet is wearing a classic suit.

Neil Brown, Jr.

Neil Brown Jr

Actor Neil Brown, Jr. was one of the best-dressed men from this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards. Wearing a gray suit with black accents and black accessories, Neil showed how a suit in light neutral can be a great alternative to the classic dark suit. Well done!

Anthony Anderson

Anthony Anderson was on the dressier side of the Critics’ Choice Awards. With a sleek bow tie and lovely dark buttons on a white shirt, Anthony showed how big and tall men can look polished and elegant in a fitting suit. Also, we loved the pocket square that broke the monotony of the black suit.

Wes Bentley

Wes Bentley

Wes Bentley, known mostly from the TV series “The Hunger Games” showed up at the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards in a fabulous suit. It’s been quite a while since we’ve last seen a celebrity rock a double-breasted jacket on the red carpet, so his overall look was a nice alternative to what everyone else wore.

Bryshere Y. Gray

Actor and rapper Bryshere Y. Gray wore classic event attire, but with a small twist. What you can learn from Bryshere’s look is that is you want to go for a classic outfit, but still add something different to your look; you can go for a simple, black suit, but with a texture. Textures add dimension and visual interest to an outfit, so opting for items that feature textures can work very well to your advantage.

Jay Duplass

A white, one-button jacket is a very young and fresh way to look elegant and stylish, as actor and director Jay Duplass shows. His overall look was one of our favorites: it was sleek and well-fitting and Jay’s attitude made it look 100 times better. Proof that your attitude does influence the way you are perceived by everyone else.

The Critics’ Choice Awards are a great opportunity to discover new fashion inspiration and ideas. The fun-filled show was full of glamour and so were the red/blue carpet looks. Even though we would love to see more colorful, weird and original looks on the red carpets of Hollywood and the world, it can be said that the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards was a very stylish event.

Even though I get that they all looked different whn it came to details, except for Jay who wore white, ll others looked pretty similar..

Thanks for sharing your opinion, it’s very valuable as it goes to show that wearing a color that is not common (even if it’s white), will make you stand our and be noticed!
