The Country Music Association Awards are an awards ceremony dedicated to celebrating the best of country music.
On 2 November 2016, the CMA brought together country music’s biggest stars at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. There were a lot of stars on the red carpet of the event, who showcased great style.

Chris Janson
Country star Chris Janson went for an all-black look. Despite being a monochrome outfit, the singer added some contrast fabrics, on the lapel and the belt, which gave the ensemble more depth.
Chris Lane
Singer Chris Lane had one of the best outfits from the 2016 CMA Awards. We really loved the color of his jacket, the polka dot cuffs, which he matched to his pocket square and his collar chain, which really made him a stand out of the event!
Clay Walker
Clay Walker looked bold and confident wearing a well-fitting classic suit. A simple suit is a look that goes in any setting. Add a country hat and you are all set for the Country Music Association Awards! Great job!
Cole Swindell
A cap generally doesn’t work with an evening jacket and a bow tie, but if it’s your signature look, it most certainly does. What we liked most about Cole’s look was the color of the jacket: blue is always a good option to go if you want to wear something different than the classic black or charcoal.
Darius Rucker
Dressed up in classic evening attire, Darius Rucker looked sharp and mature. Here is a style tip not to be forgotten: if you are wearing a jacket that features two or more buttons, always leave the lowest one unfastened.
Easton Corbin
Easton Corbin’s look was a great surprise on the red carpet of the 2016 CMA Awards. There was a lot we enjoyed about his look: the green of the jacket, which is very uncommon for the red carpet, the leather accents – it’s always great to work with details and the fact that he accessorized this young look with a mature bow tie! Well done!
Hunter Hayes
For the 2016 CMA Awards, Hunter Hayes wore a classic suit, which he smartly broke down with a contrasting pocket square and a tie clip. We also think the watch was a nice touch.
Jason Aldean, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn
The Brooks and Dunn guys along with Jason Aldean went for simple and elegant looks for the awards ceremony. They each added a little twist to their looks to make them more appropriate for the setting, such a country hat, an unexpected color or a longer haircut.
Justin Moore
A relaxed and youthful look is always a breath of fresh air on a red carpet. In this sense, Justin Moore was one of our favorite guys from the 2016 CMA Awards red carpet. Light gray is a suit color that makes you look young, and unbuttoning a shirt button is a great way to give out a more dynamic vibe.
Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan looked really refined in a great evening look. As a style tip for any guy, you should always remember that the cuffs of your shirt should pop out from the sleeves of your jacket, but only a little. Breaking the rule and going with showing more is also a good option.
Michael Ray
With a great jacket comes a great attitude. We really enjoyed Michael Ray’s jacket, his shoes and his overall vibe! The grooming was well done too!
Scotty McCreery
Adding a detail to a classic look, such as embroidery or a texture is always a great way to style up a look and to give it more personality. Scotty McCreery did just that in a very subtle way and the results were wonderful. Well done!
William Michael Morgan
William Michael Morgan definitely deserves a shout out for wearing a bolo tie. His look was proof of how country can look stylish and polished! A bolo tie is always a favorite of ours!
Creative, professional and traditional are the three words that describe the outfits worn by the men who attended the 2016 CMA Awards best.
We’ll look forward to seeing what our favorite stars will wear next and to how they will continue to bridge the fashion and the music worlds.
