The 2016 MTV EMAs in Menswear

The 2016 edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards took place on 6 November. The show, which was held at the Ahoy Rotterdam venue in Rotterdam, the Netherlands was the third edition of the MTV EMAs to be held in Holland, and the second time the awards show was held in Rotterdam. The show was in fact held at the same venue as the 1997 MTV EMAs.

The show was a star-studded event, which brought together many music stars from all over the world. While the European Music Awards do hand out awards for European music, they also cover international artists.

The red carpet of the 2016 MTV EMAs was, besides being filled with talent, was also filled with style.

Afrojack

Dutch DJ Afrojack looked really polished, even though he wore a casual jacket. As a fashion tip everyone can remember, casual clothing can look very stylish too if they are made from quality materials, have a good shape and feature interesting details. Well done!

Cole Whittle

Cole Whittle, one of the members of the funk pop and dance rock band DNCE wore a very flashy outfit, despite its black and white palette. What we enjoyed about the outfit was the fact that Cole mixed two black and white prints: in one of them, the white was predominant and in the other one, the black was taking over. It definitely was a cool mix.

Julian Jordan

Working with contrasts, DJ Julian Jordan wore an oversized jacket with big contrast lapels and a pair of really skinny pants. This resulted in a dynamic look that gave off good energy.

Nathan Henry and Gary Beadle

Reality star Nathan Henry from Geordie Shore wore a very nice shiny jacket, which flattered his complexion. What we enjoyed about his look was that he wore the shiny jacket with dark neutrals, which balanced it out and placed the focus on the jacket, making it the main piece.

Nathan’s co-star, Gary Beadle wore a gray jacket with dark black lapels, which he accessorized with a black skinny tie, which matched his body frame. We really enjoyed the shape created by the three black lines, which made him look bold and young.

Shawn Mendes

Singer Shawn Mendes went for a more casual look, which featured a leather jacket and a dark shirt. The details on the shirt’s collar made the outfit incredibly stylish and added personality to it. Great job!

Tinie Tempah

British rapper Tinie Tempah went for a black and beige suit, which was very fun and interesting. The fit was good, the print was good and the details made it stand out. Well done!

The stars who attended the 2016 MTV EMAs in Rotterdam, the Netherlands definitely wore eye-catching and sometimes even unexpected outfits that, it can be said, completed the awards show.
